Clumber Park

Yesterday we visited Clumber Park in Sherwood Forest. This is a park which used to belong to a stately home, but the home was destroyed in 1938 and what remains are formal gardens, a lake, woods, heaths, and generally domesticated nature. It was perfect for a sunny winter’s day.

Io shadow transit and some fuzzies.

On 2nd February I actually got out with the telescope. Although the sky didn’t stay clear for long, I did manage to visit a couple of familiar friends, and also captured a shadow transit on Jupiter, which is always exciting.
